Argentina: Universidad de Belgrano, Buenos Aires

Overview

At Universidad de Belgrano (UB), you can study Spanish for a month in the summer or stay for up to a year, immersing yourself in Argentinian culture. UB is one of the oldest and largest private universities in Argentina, with 11,500 enrolled students, including 2,500 international students. You will earn academic credit in language and cultural studies or, if your Spanish-language skills are advanced, take regular courses with local students. Join a sports team or student club to meet other local students, or hop on the Subte (subway) a few blocks away to explore the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires. Staying with a local family will broaden your cultural understanding as well as improve your Spanish. Studying at UB will give you more than academic credit; it will give you the confidence to explore the Spanish-speaking world for the rest of your life.
Additional features: 24/7 site director, optional excursions

Location

Universidad de Belgrano is located in a seventeen-story building in the lively Belgrano neighborhood. A cafeteria, computer labs, a library, and a travel agency are all available. All students live in Belgrano and the nearby Palermo neighborhood.

CCIS

The College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS), a partnership of colleges and universities—two and four year, large and small, public and private, domestic and foreign—encompasses the broad spectrum of international higher education. CCIS members sponsor a variety of programs, notably study abroad programs and professional development seminars for faculty and administrators, which are designed to enhance international/intercultural perspectives within the academic community.
